Hobbies

My favorite thing to do is dance! I have been dancing and performing since I was four years old. I love sharing and connecting with audiences as I tell stories through movement; this is my true passion! My favorite styles are tap, jazz, and contemporary, all of which I study here at Hope. I grew up doing competitive dance, have choreographed pieces, and danced and perfomred in musicals. I hope to dance professionally after college and go on to teach dance in schools.

Another hobby of mine is creating and sewing. I really enjoy designing and making sweatshirts. I start by cutting out fabric to my desired shape and size, heat transfer it on to the sweatshirt, and then sew or stitch the fabric or on the hood. Additionally, I love to scrapbook in my free time. I started a scrapbook for college which includes pictures, captions, keepsakes, prompts, and memories from my time at Hope College so far.

One of my biggest dance inpsireations is Marinda Davis.
I grew up dancing at Broadway Dance Theatre.in Greenbrook, NJ, because (fun fact) that is where I grew up!
I also danced, sang, did theatre, played hockey and tennis during my time at Westminster School.
I get a lot of my sweatshirt design ideas and inspiration from Pinterest.
