Donkey Taqueria is an authentic Mexican restaurant fairly new to the Wealthy Street neighborhood. It is uniquely located in a renovated 1920's service station. While the building was remade to fit the style of the restaurant, there were not major reconstruction changes to the foundation of the building. Like many of the other surrounding buildings, the building has its same original structure, preserving the feel of this historic district.

The lack of signage may make it difficult to find if you are a first-timer or unfamiliar with the area. The building is on the corner of Wealthy and Henry Avenue, and is white with blue trim and hanging lights over the outdoor patio.

The menu consists of botanas (appetizers), tacos, tortas, tostadas, and desserts. I recommend ordering a couple of dishes, as the tacos tend to be small.
