• Hepburn went to Ethiopia to aid the country after years of drought and civil discord had caused massive famine
• She also aided in a polio vaccine project in Turkey
• In Guatemala and Honduras, she helped with projects to provide drinking water
She saw schools in Bangladesh, services for impoverished children in Thailand, nutrition initiatives in Vietnam, and camps for displaced children in Sudan.

Advocacy

• Hepburn was very fervent in spreading awarness third world problems through United States and European media
• She gave as many as 15 interviews per day discussing her work with UNICEF
