April 23, 2023
On Thursday, April 20, Lambda Pi Eta worked alongside the Communication Department to host
the 2023 End-of-Year Celebration after a brief pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The festivities began at 6:30 PM with a fancy italian cuisine while students were able to
chat with fellow classmates and deparment faculty. LPH President, Ethan Getchell, started
with comments on the successes of Lambda Pi Eta including:
- Inducting more than 25 new members to LPH
- Establishing Comm Club
- Setting a clear set of goals to increase student engagement, development, and
involvement
Ethan gave an emotional closing about being authentic and its importance to encourage growth
as he then hands the leadership baton to new the LPH president: Zachary Carlson.
Junior Zac Carlson followed with goals for the future of LPH, Comm Club, and the
department as a whole. So much to look foward to!
Throughout the rest of the evening, raffles for door
prizes were drawn, department awards were given, and each professor gave statements
highlighting the Senior's achievements. The event was an amazing and emotional send-off for
each Senior

New LPH and Comm Club Executive Boards Elected
March 17, 2023
Earlier this month, president-elect Zachary Carlson and vice president-elect Hannah Zeilbeck
conducted nine interviews with students to establish the new executive boards for both
Lambda Pi Eta and Comm Club.
"We have three awesome Seniors graduating from our exec team," Zac said. "We want to make
sure that their positions are filled in quickly so we can continue on what they have already
accomplished."
Throughout the interviews, Zac and Hannah tried to find people who have ambition and a drive
to make the Communication Department better than it already is. They asked questions about
each interviewee's talents, and what they hope to personally achieve if they were to be
elected.
After two days of interviews, nine students were elected to be on the exec teams.
