Book Adaptations
I'm someone who's super picky about how a book gets adapted. I want things to be as close to the source material as possible while still being a well done movie or show. So, I've complied some of the best adaptations based on the books recommended on this website.
I grew up on this movie and its two sequels. They may not be a "perfect" adaptation, but they capture the charm and magic of the Narnia books extremely well.

This movie is absolutely gorgeous and is amazing to watch even if you haven't read the book it's based on. It's beautifully animated and is one of my favorite movies of all time.

The Hunger Games is one of those movies I almost enjoy more than the book it's based on. The story translates so well to a film format and I will never get tired of watching this movie.

This movie doesn't capture everything perfectly about the origianl Austen novel, but it's still extremely well done. The cinematography is amazing as well.

I had the chance to see this when it rereleased in theaters last year and it solidified this being one of my favorite movies ever. The stop motion animation is insanely impressive and represents the world from the book so well.
Based on: Coraline by Neil Gaiman
In my opinion, this is the best adaptation of a Jane Austen novel. It perfectly understands the satire and comedy of the novel. It's perfectly cast and the soundtrack is amazing as well.

While I think the novel is infinitely better, this movie does an excellent job of condensing a large book into a few hours!
