Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Ransom Riggs

2011

"A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs. It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience."

Goodreads

The first book in this series is definitely the best. The use of reallife photographs in order to aid the story is super engaging. It does a great job of mixing historical elements into the story as well. The characters are likeable and this book sets up the rest of the series nicely. I'd recommend reading it and continuing the series if you like it enough (the later books aren't as good as the first few).
